Get your beautiful smile back with dental implants

Ever thought about or experienced how tooth loss can affect you? When you lose teeth, it not only changes the aesthetics and beauty of your smile, it can also keep you from having your favorite foods. Thanks to the developments in dentistry, there are many treatment options available to replace a missing tooth, including dentures and removable bridges. Still, for the people who are seeking a more stable, natural-looking way to replace missing teeth, dental implants are the best option.

Dental implants are preferred by many people now because they provide a strong, stable anchor for artificial replacement teeth. Also, with dental implants, your new teeth will look, feel, and function like natural teeth.

What are dental implants?

A dental implant is a titanium screw placed in the jawbone where teeth are absent/missing. Dental implants act as secure anchors for the placement of an artificial tooth.

Why dental implants?

Losing a tooth can affect the way you look and lead to other problems that may impact your health and prevent you from smiling with confidence. It is important to replace missing teeth with dental implants promptly to prevent health consequences, including:

  • Bone loss
  • Shifting of the teeth
  • Alteration in the bite
  • Jaw joint problems
  • Difficulty in chewing
  • Extra stress on the remaining teeth

Dental implants offer the following benefits:

  • They mimic the look, feel, and function of natural teeth
  • After dental implants, you can eat virtually any type of food
  • It helps to preserve facial structure by preventing bone loss
  • Having dental implants distribute bite forces evenly throughout the mouth
  • Replacing a missing tooth with dental implants let you smile with confidence
  • Dental implants don't affect your speaking ability as bulky dentures are eliminated
  • Maintain the health of adjacent teeth since there is no need for bridgework
  • Dental implants help prevent bone deterioration that might occur as a result of missing teeth

The Process

Planning stage: During the first stage, a carefully thought-out treatment plan is formulated; sometimes, the dentist may need specialized imaging to analyze the bone condition and three-dimensional viewing to ensure proper placement.

Implant placement: Our dental implant specialist will place the dental implant in the correct spot to form the gum tissue around the implant.

Healing:The bone around the dental implant will grow to integrate with the new implant.

Temporary restoration: Your dentist may place a temporary restoration if the dental implant is in a visible area while the site heals.

Abutment placement:The dental implant abutment is placed to connect the dental implant to the porcelain crown after the healing is complete.

Porcelain crown: The new porcelain crown made to exact specifications will be bonded to the abutment.

Can Anyone Get Dental Implants?

Anyone with missing teeth can opt for dental implants. However, it is inadvisable to place dental implants during the early teen years, as the dental and facial bones are still forming at that age.
